2007 Chinese National Dragon Boat Month Series Races

Dear Sir or Madam,
On behalf of the Chinese Dragon Boat Association, I’m very happy to invite you to China for the international series dragon boat races from May to July 2007. Now I’d like to introduce the races of the 1st section and hope your teams could participate in the races.
1. The 1st station is 2007 Chinese National Dragon Boat Month Series Races & 5th Yangtse River Three Gorges Rally International Dragon Boat Competition. It is one of the official events recognized by the IDBF and it will be held on the Yangtze River – Chinese Mother River. The rally race is already listed in the World Guinness Records. It’s fully special features and challenges.
The competition will be held from 19 to 20, May 2007 in Yichang City, Hubei Province China. The competition events are open, women, mixed 500m and 39km rally race. The Organizing Committee will provide free reception for 20 teams. Each team (28 people) will enjoy free food, accommodation and local transportation among Yichang or Wuhan airport, train station, hotels, race course or other venues for official activities.
2. The 2nd station will be the 2007 Chinese National Dragon Boat Month Series Races & Binzhou Wuxi China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament in Bin Lake District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province China. The race venue is on the Li Lake. In Chinese history, one of the four most beautiful ladies, Xishi and her husband Fanli have been floating on the lake and the story made the lake famous. The venue will become a new CDBA dragon boat competition base. At the same time, Wuxi is also the cultural origin of Chinese ancient Wu country. There are famous sights, such as Yuantou Islet, Buddha Statuary of Mountain Ling, Mountain Luming etc and its special products are waxberries, plums and tea.
Competition will be held on May 20, 2007. The events will be open 500m and round race 5000m. The Organizing Committee will provide free reception for 12 teams. Participating teams will enjoy free food, accommodation and local transportation from May 18 to 21, 2007 (3 nights and 4 days). Teams could arrive at Wuxi, Shanghai, Nanning and Changzhou airport or Wuxi train station. We will provide free transportation between airport (train station) and hotels.
3. The 3rd station will be 2007 Chinese National Dragon Boat Month Series Races & Chongzhou Chengdu China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament. The race venue has been used for 2006 China Grand Prix of F1 World Championships. The length is 1500m, width 350m and depth 4-5m. Audience seats and platform are on the riverbank. Chongzhou is located in the rich and beautiful Sichuan plain. Chengdu city is 20km to the east of Chongzhou with 20km distance. Shuangliu county is on its southeast and the distance to the Shuangliu airport is 30km. It’s north boundary is Du Jiang Weir. In the history, Chongzhou was called Shu Zhou and it has 2200 years history.
The competition is from May 26 to 27, 2007. The events are open, mixed and women 250m, 500m and 1000m open straight speed race. The Organizing Committee will provide free reception for 20 teams from May 24 to 28, 2007 (4 nights and 5 days) including food, accommodation and local transportation. Teams could arrive at Shuangliu Chengdu airport or train station and transportation between airport (train station) and hotels will be provided.
In order to avoid date overlap, after negotiating with Wuxi and Chongzhou organizing committees, reaching the following agreements:
(1) After Wuxi race, the Wuxi organizing committee will provide teams transferring to Chongzhou with free food and accommodation from May 21 to 23, 2007 (2 nights and 3 days).
(2) Chongzhou organizing committee will provide teams from Yichang race with free food and accommodation from May 22 to 24, 2007 (2 nights and 3 days).
You can make either choice according to your practical situation. The first choice will bring you to the 5th Yangtse River Three Gorges Rally International Dragon Boat Competition and the Chongzhou race. The second choice will bring you to Binzhou Wuxi China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament and Chongzhou race.
