Dear Sir or Madam,
On behalf of the Chinese Dragon Boat Association (CDBA), I’m pleased to inform you that with the support of the China General Administration of Sport, the CDBA will host 2006 China Dragon Boat Festival Month International Dragon Boat Race Series. Three tour races will be arranged as follows:
1. Starting Ceremony of the 2006 China Dragon Boat Festival Month International Dragon Boat Race Series and Miluo River of Yueyang China Dragon Boat Festival
The Miluo River is in Miluo City of Yuyang, Hunan Province, China. The race venue is at the spot where the patriotic poet “Qu Yuan” drowned himself. This is to memorize his patriotism. Miluo City possesses long-term historical and cultural contents and is full of historical and natural sights.
Date: May 29 – June 1, 2006. May 31, 2006 is the racing day.
Reception arrangement: the Organizing Committee will provide free boarding, lodging and local transportation for 3 nights and 4 days. You may come by air or train. The train station and airport reception is free.
2. 2006 China Dragon Boat Festival Month International Dragon Boat Race Series viz. the 3rd Nanning China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament
Nanning is the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is the famous “Green City” of China. Every year, Nanning hosts the China-ASEAN Expo and has been a platform for countries of China-ASEAN to exchange. The race venue in Nanning is in excellent condition and we hope that it will become a platform for dragon boat athletes to compete.
Date: June 1-5, 2006. June 3-4, 2006 is the racing dates.
Reception arrangement: the Organizing Committee will provide free boarding, lodging and local transportation for 4 nights and 5 days. The CDBA will offer each team from the previous race with subsidy equal to train normal sleeper tickets price (or we will arrange transfer for teams by train with normal sleeper). You may come by air or train to Nanning Guangxi. The train station and airport reception is free.
3. 2006 China Dragon Boat Festival Month International Dragon Boat Race Series viz. the 3rd Longyou China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament
Date: June 7-10, 2006. June 9, 2006 is the racing date.
Reception arrangement: the Organizing Committee will provide free boarding, lodging and local transportation for 3 nights and 4 days. The CDBA will offer each team from the previous race with subsidy equal to train normal sleeper tickets price (or we will arrange transfer for teams by train with normal sleeper). You may come by air or train to Shanghai or Hangzhou (train can reach Quzhou city). The train station and airport reception is free.
